Do-Not-Track Signals and Similar Mechanisms

Some mobile and web browsers transmit ‘do-not-track’ signals. Because of differences in how web browsers incorporate and activate this feature, it is not always clear whether users intend for these signals to be transmitted, or whether they are even aware of them. We currently do not take action in response to these signals.

In Europe, the retention periods are generally between 6 and 10 years (for contracts, notifications, and business letters). As far as legally permissible, we restrict the processing of your data instead of deleting it (by restricting access to it). This applies in particular to cases where we may need the data for the execution of the contract or for the assertion of or defense against legal claims. In these cases, the duration or the restriction of processing depends on the respective statutory limitation or retention periods. The data will be deleted after the relevant limitation or retention periods have expired.

We also maintain reasonable procedures to help ensure that such data is reliable for its intended use and is accurate, complete, and current. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases, and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standard set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
